File Utility window

In the File Utility window, you can view detailed information about a selected Generic Database (GDB) file. That is, after you open, create, or import a file, the topmost pane displays the structure of the file, composed of information entries, displayed in a hierarchical manner. Each item displays an icon representing the information type. For example, Image channel icon represents an image channel. You can also modify certain types of information, depending on the GDB-format type and read/write status of the file.

When you select an item in the topmost pane, detailed information about the item is displayed in the lowermost pane. For example, when the file has a vector layer, and you select Metadata, the title of the lowermost pane changes to Metadata Information, and the layer metadata is displayed.

For other items, the title of the lowermost pane and the information displayed varies according to the item you select.

Note: The information displayed is read-only.
