Using the Commuter License Utility - CATALYST Professional 3 and Newer Versions

The CATALYST Professional Commuter License Utility is designed for temporary offline use of the software.

This tool allows you to check out a CATALYST Professional license for offline use, ensuring uninterrupted access to the software during travel or remote work.

You can access the Commuter License Utility from the CATALYST Professional toolbar .

To use this tool, you must have internet access and be signed in. To sign in and view your available licenses, or to return previously acquired licenses, select the hyperlink indicated in the tool. This will open a browser where you will be asked to enter your credentials.

If you don’t have credentials, please contact your system administrator or the CATALYST Support Team for assistance at [email protected].

Once you have completed the sign-in process, you can perform one of the following operations:

  • Checkout licenses: This permits you to use the software in offline mode.
  • Return licenses: This allows you to return previously acquired licenses.

1. Downloading Licenses

To download licenses, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Checkout Licenses option.
  2. If you have previously signed in, a list of available licenses will be displayed. If no licenses are shown, your organization currently has none allocated. Please contact your system administrator or the CATALYST Support Team for assistance.
  3. If the list of licenses is populated, choose any license to view the available license codes.
  4. Specify the number of days (up to a maximum of 30 days) for which you want to check out the licenses.
  5. Press the Checkout Licenses button to download and install the licenses in the desired location.

2. Returning Licenses

To return licenses before their expiration date, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Return Licenses option.
  2. A list of the licenses installed on your host computer will be displayed.
  3. Click the Return Licenses button to return the licenses automatically.

Please note that once this operation is complete, you will no longer be able to run CATALYST software without first signing in again.
