Processing data and automating tasks like image selection directly at the source - before downlinking to a central server - reduces latency, conserves bandwidth, improves reliability, and enhances security.

The result is faster, more efficient results at a much lower cost.

To showcase how effective it is, we teamed up with leading edge computing company, Unibap AB, to deploy an algorithm within their Space Cloud Simulator.

The aim: to automatically process imagery on board for detecting ships off the southeastern coast of Sweden.

The result: A solution capable of processing 150 square kilometers of sea per second.
