PCI Geomatics, the developer of CATALYST Professional (formerly commercialized as Geomatica) and CATALYST Enterprise (formerly commercialized as GXL) has entered into an arrangement agreement with Intermap Technologies Corporation to acquire the Company’s shares. Together, the combined company will form a more complete Earth observation platform spanning PCI's strength in image processing and remote sensing analysis with Intermap’s proprietary geospatial models and AI geo intelligence analytics.
Is this an acquisition or a merger?
Intermap entered into a definitive arrangement agreement with PCI Geomatics Group Inc. (DBA CATALYST) Pursuant to the Arrangement Agreement, Intermap will acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares in the capital of PCI not already owned by Intermap (the “PCI Shares”) for Cash, by way of an arrangement under the Canada Business Corporations Act (the “Arrangement”).
When does this take effect?
The transaction is expected to close in late August 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approval. Until closing, both companies continue to operate independently.

Your Account, License, Support & Contract
Do I need to do anything right now?
No. Your current licensing agreement, subscription, contract terms, and renewal dates remain unchanged. We'll notify you directly and in advance of any action required on your part.
Will my pricing change?
Not as a result of this announcement. If pricing changes are introduced in the future as new combined capabilities roll out, we'll communicate those changes well ahead of your renewal date — they won't be applied retroactively or without notice.
Will my contract terms or SLA change?
No. Your existing service level agreement, support terms, and contract remain in effect exactly as written.
Who do I contact for support and account questions?
The same team. Your account manager and technical support contacts are unchanged during this transition. If that changes in the future, we'll tell you who your new contact is before the change takes effect.
What happens when my license or subscription is up for renewal?
Renewals proceed as normal under your existing terms. We will notify you in advance if a renewal will coincide with any change to product enhancements or pricing.
Product & Technical
Is Professional or Enterprise going to be being discontinued?
No. Both continue to be developed, sold, and supported. This acquisition of PCI by Intermap adds capability — it does not replace or sunset existing products.
Will my current workflows, scripts, or automations still work?
Yes. There is no required migration and no changes to existing APIs, file formats, or processing pipelines as a result of this announcement. If any future integration work requires a change on your end, we will provide advance notice, migration guidance, and a transition timeline.
Will Intermap’s technology be bundled into my existing license, or is it a separate purchase?
Through this announcement, PCI customers will now have access to Intermap’s offerings that can be integrated into existing solutions. The availability of NEXTMap elevation data opens up new possibilities to integrate and package high quality terrain data to improve geometric accuracy to all PCI customers. Furthermore, by combining PCI capabilities such as advanced InSAR processing with Intermap high quality and globally available elevation data, customers can expect to better detect and characterize risks in a timely manner. While offerings and solutions will remain separate initially, there will now be new opportunities to offer a more complete solution to PCI’s existing and future customers.
Will data formats, sensor support, or interoperability with third-party GIS tools (e.g., Esri, QGIS) change?
No changes are planned to existing format support or interoperability. Any additions will expand compatibility, not restrict it.

No. Ongoing projects, active support tickets, and in-progress professional services engagements continue without interruption.
Will my sales rep, technical account manager, or support engineer change?
