Tip: Make sure you have the right linear unit of measure selected.
To measure a line
Zoom or pan the image, as necessary, to the area of interest.
On the toolbar, click the arrow beside Measurement Tools, and then on the menu that appears, click Line.
In the view pane, click where you want to start the measurement.
Do one of the following:
Drag to where you want to end the measurement, and then double-click to stop.
Drag to a point at which you want to change direction and continue measuring, click, and then at the point at which you want to end the measurement, double-click to stop.
You can change direction as often as you want.
The total length, segment length, and azimuth are displayed on the status bar.
