Selecting a measurement tool

To measure various objects in an image, you must select the relevant tool. For example, to measure a line, such as a road, select the Line tool.

To select a measurement tool

Zoom or pan the image, as necessary, to the area of interest.
On the toolbar, click the arrow beside Measurement Tools, and then on the menu that appears, do one of the following:
- To measure a linear object, click Line.
- To measure a polygonal object, click Polygon.
- To measure a rectangular object, click Rectangle.
- To measure an elliptical object, click Ellipse.
