You measure a polygon by using the Polygon tool.
To measure a polygon

Zoom or pan the image, as necessary, to the area of interest.

On the toolbar, click the arrow beside Measurement Tools, and then on the menu that appears, click Polygon.

In the view pane, click the first vertex of the polygon you want and at which to start the measurement.

Click the next vertex of the polygon, repeating as necessary until you select at least three vertices of the polygon.
The area and perimeter of the polygon are displayed on the status bar.

To stop measuring, double-click in the view pane.
