You use Mosaic GeoFill to alter aspects in your imagery, such as filling an area of interest with content from an overlapping image to replace an unwanted aspect. Pixels are copied from a source image and pasted to a new map layer.
Start by drawing a GeoFill polygon to specify the area of the image you want to replace. For example, you can use Mosaic GeoFill to replace clouds in an area of interest (AOI) with cloud-free pixels. You will be able to select the imagery from any of the open images that overlap the same area.
You can use the Next and Previous buttons to traverse through the overlapped images. The region inside of the area of interest you created will be replaced with pixels from the current image. The Mosaic File Set window can further help you determine which image to copy pixels from. For more information about working with that window, see Working with a mosaic file set.
Once you have selected the best imagery to replace the problem area, you click Paste. This will create a new map layer for the defined pixels. This new map layer can be further manipulated just like any other map layer.
