The quality of the output image-mosaic tiles depends on the quality of the mosaic preparation. Your updated mosaic should look identical to the mosaic preview you viewed (or edited) in Mosaic Tool after running the Mosaic Update Preparation module. If there are any issues with the output mosaic related to color balancing, cutline selection, or other enhancement, you can make changes in Mosaic Tool or rerun the Mosaic Update Preparation module with different parameter settings.
