Detecting clouds and removing haze

You can use the Cloud Detection and Haze Removal module to automatically detect clouds in your input imagery, and to detect and remove haze. For clouds, masks that represent clouded regions are generated in the output PCIDSK files. Haze is automatically detected and removed in the output PCIDSK imagery.

You can run this module run after running the Orthorectification module.

Important: Do not run this module after performing a pansharpening process or after running a SPOT Pseudo Natural Color process. Algorithms that detect and remove clouds and haze rely heavily on metadata contained within the PCIDSK files, and the inherent characteristics of the multispectral data sets (gain/bias of the sensor, wavelength, channel order, and other characteristics).
