Killing a job

When you want to stop processing of a job, you can kill it. This immediately terminates the job, regardless of any processing that is occurring.

Warning: Killing a job is not recommended: it can cause system instability. If the job you are killing is a master job, each child job is also killed.

To kill a job

  1. On the Jobs page, find the job you want to kill.

    If there are many jobs currently in processing, you may need to run a search to find the one you want. For information on how to find a job, see Searching for a job.

  2. After you find the job you want, click the row in which the job you want to kill is located.

    The Job details page appears.

  3. On the Job details toolbar, click Kill.

    A message appears, prompting you to confirm the action.

  4. Click Yes.
