In typical use, the JPS Database can fill quickly with thousands of jobs. To help find a specific job, you can click a column heading to sort by the heading name; for example, sorting by ID organizes the table with the most recently submitted jobs first. You can also filter the display according to jobs you own (User), job status, or search by keyword for matching text in a descriptive field.
On the Jobs page, the Filter bar provides you with the ability to filter the display of current jobs.
The available filters are:
- All: displays all jobs currently in the JPS system
- Running | Waiting: displays all jobs having a state of either Running or Waiting
- Failed | Killed | Cancelled: displays all jobs having a state of either Failed, Killed, or Cancelled
- Warnings: displays only jobs that have a warning state
- Running | Waiting | Ready: displays all jobs having a state of either Running, Waiting, or Ready
- Ready | Pending | Created: displays all jobs having a state of either Ready, Pending, or Created
- Cancel Requested: displays only jobs for which a cancel request was made
- Cancelled: lists only jobs that have been cancelled by the operator and cleanly shut down
- Completed: lists only jobs that have completed normally
- Created: lists only newly created jobs
- Pending: lists jobs that are queued to run
- Failed: lists only jobs that have stopped in the middle of processing due to error
- Kill Requested: lists jobs for which a kill request was made
- Killed: lists only jobs that were killed; these jobs may require manual cleanup
- Ready: lists jobs that are ready to run; these jobs may run during next poll from server
- Running: lists jobs that are actually being processed
- Waiting: lists jobs that are running, but waiting for another job to end
