Searching for a job

In typical use, the JPS Database can fill quickly with thousands of jobs. To help find a specific job, you can click a column heading to sort by the heading name; for example, sorting by ID organizes the table with the most recently submitted jobs first. You can also filter the display according to jobs you own (User), job status, or search by keyword for matching text in a descriptive field.

On the Jobs page, the Filter bar provides you with the ability to filter the display of current jobs.

The available filters are:

To search for jobs in the JPS Administrator

  1. On the Filter bar, select the Master check box to display jobs that spawned other jobs.
  2. Select the User check box to display only jobs submitted by you, the current user.
  3. Click the Search list, and then click a filter to sort the jobs by the state you want.
  4. In the Search box, type a keyword, integer, or a combination thereof according to the value you want to search for.

The JPS filters the display according to the search you specified. If you did not find the job you were looking for, broaden or narrow the search criteria, as necessary, and then try running your search again.
