After you complete selecting your source images, defining the output mosaic, setting up mosaic preparation, you can, optionally, preview the mosaic, and then generate the mosaic. After you generate the mosaic, or if you do not want to generate the mosaic preview or the mosaic, you can close the wizard.
How the software behaves when you click Finish is based on whether you generated the mosaic preview, changed any of the mosaic-preparation settings, or both, as follows:
- If you generated the preview, the wizard closes, and the mosaic preview is displayed in the Mosaic Tool window; otherwise, if you did not generate the preview, you are first prompted to do so. If after you generate the preview you then change any of the mosaic-preparation settings, the preview is now out of date, you will be prompted to update it. A preview is then displayed in the Mosaic Tool window. Under Source images, the source images you added in the wizard are displayed. You can then select one or more to add to the mosaic.
- If you generated the mosaic, the wizard closes; however, if the preview has not been generated or is out of date when you click Finish, you will be prompted to generate or update it, as applicable. The mosaic is then displayed in the Mosaic Tool window. If you did not generate the mosaic, you will also be prompted to generate or update the preview. In the Mosaic Tool window, under Source images, the source images you added in the wizard are displayed. You can then select one or more to add to the mosaic.
To finish creating a new mosaic project
- Click Finish.
The wizard is closed.
Note: If you generated neither the mosaic preview nor the mosaic, in the Mosaic Tool window, under Source images, the images are displayed without any mosaic preparation.
