After you complete selecting your source images, defining the output mosaic, and setting up mosaic preparation, as applicable, you can select to do any of the following:
Generate the mosaic preview
When you generate the mosaic preview, the view pane in the wizard is updated to show the imagery as it will appear in the mosaic. You can determine whether the mosaic is of suitable quality prior to generating the mosaic. If the preview is unsatisfactory, you can make changes on the Mosaic Preparation page to the cutlines, color balancing, sort order, or normalization, or click Back, as applicable, to return to the Mosaic Definition page and Source Images pages, respectively. After you make the changes you want, click Next, as necessary, to return to the Mosaic Preparation page, and then regenerate the mosaic preview, generate the output mosaic, or both. If you are then finished creating your project, close the wizard.
Generate the mosaic
When you generate the mosaic, a preview file is first generated, and then the output file is written to the folder and file name you specified.
Finish
How the software behaves when you click Finish is based on whether you generated the mosaic preview, changed any of the mosaic-preparation settings, or both, as follows:
