You can cut a polygon into separate shapes.
Note: Cutting a polygon may affect attributes of the shape you are editing.

To cut a polygon
- On the Vector Editing toolbar, click Find, and then click the polygon you want to cut.
- Click Split Line/Polygon, and then click a point on the outline of the polygon where you want to begin a line.
- To form the line, click inside the polygon.
- To end the line, double-click a point on the outline of the polygon.
