If necessary, you can extend a line. When you extend a line, the existing angle of the line is retained; that is, the vertex is constrained to move only in a straight line.

To extend a line
- On the Vector Editing toolbar, click Find, and then click the line you want to extend.
- Click Extend Line, and then click a start or end vertex.
- When you extend the line to where you want, click to end the extension.
