Mapping red, green, and blue

When you are repairing an RGB (or grayscale) map layer, you can view the color composition of the layer and, if necessary, change or map the channel data to a color element. When you do so, the changes are displayed in the viewer in real time.

Note: Changing band combinations will overwrite any enhancements you may have applied to your image.

To map red, green, and blue

  1. If you already have the RGB Mapping window open on the desktop, proceed to step 2; otherwise, on the toolbar, click RGB Mapping.

    The RGB Mapping window appears.

  2. In the Red, Green, and Blue columns, as applicable, click the row corresponding to the image channel to which you want to map the color.
