After you have set up the DEM Editing, you are ready to use Smart GeoFill to copy the pixels from the Full Res. Ortho Preview window.
To copy the pixels with Smart GeoFill

On the Maps tab of the viewer, select the ortho image, and then on the Tools menu, click Smart GeoFill.

In the Source list, select DEM Ortho Preview.

On the Maps tab of the viewer, turn off the visibility of the DEM and the low-resolution image, leaving the AOI displayed.

In the Smart GeoFill window, on the toolbar, click Selection Mode.

In the viewer, draw a polygon around the feature you want to repair.

On the toolbar of the Smart GeoFill window, click Next, as necessary, to cycle through the available images, and then when you have selected a suitable one, click Paste.
