You can open files by doing any of the following:
- On the File menu, click Open
- On the Maps tab or the Files tab, right-click, and then on the menu that appears, click Open
- Drag one or more PCIDSK files and other supported file types from your file explorer to Focus
- Press Ctrl+O
The types of files you can open range from a
Focus project file (
.gpr) through various image formats, such as JPEG, TIFF, vector and shape formats, sensor-specific data files, such as SPOT-5, and many more.
Tip: To see all the supported file types, in the File Selector window, click the Files of type list.
When you open data files, each file, including its available layers, appears on the Files tab.
Note: On opening a file, the image channel displayed is based on the metadata. If the DefaultPeusdo tag exists, the pseudocolor table (PCT) map layer is displayed. If the image has three or more channels, it is displayed as red, green, and blue (RGB). If the image has fewer than three channels, channel 1 is displayed as a PCT or, if a PCT does not exist, as a lookup table (LUT).
