Creating a basemap layer

To have a basemap layer added to the active area in Focus:

On the Layer menu, click Add Basemap.

The currently defined basemap dataset will be added as a new map layer to the active area. It will be added to be the bottom-most layer in the area. The area will not be resized to accomodate the extents of this dataset. If the dataset has a different projection than the area, the basemap layer will be reprojected.
