Creating a basemap area

A basemap area is an area that has a basemap layer already loaded into it. This means the projection and extents of the area will initially be set to those of the basemap dataset. To create a basemap area in Focus:

On the Maps toolbar, click the arrow beside New Area, and then click New Basemap Area.
