Setting up the output port (optional)

You need not complete this step to proceed with the example; however, you may want to do so for future reference.

The output port contains the slope and aspect layers, which will be two new raster layers. This connection is optional.

To set up the output port

  1. In the SLASP Module Control Panel window, on the Files tab, in the Output Ports group box, expand OutputSLP: Slope layer to show all of the available output options.
  2. Under OutputSLP: Slope layer, do one or more of the following:
    • Click the Viewer-Grayscale check box, the Viewer-PCT check box, or both.

That is, you can choose to show the result of the algorithm in grayscale or pseudocolor in the Focus Viewer.

    • If you want to write the result to a file, click the file name untitled.pix, press F2, and then type irvine_slope.pix as the file name for the output file.
  3. Repeat step 2 for OutputASP: Aspect layer.

That is, select one or more of the check boxes for your aspect-layer output. If you want to write the result to a file, do so as described in step 2, substituting irvine_aspect.pix as the file name.
