Setting up the input parameters

For the purposes of this example, you need not specify any input parameters; however, information is provided herein for future reference.

Note: For more information on setting up the input parameters for SLASP, in the SLASP Module Control Panel window, click the Help button to open the associated Help topic.

To set up the input parameters

  1. In the SLASP Module Control Panel window, click the Input Params 1 tab.
  2. The Zero slope aspect value box displays a default value of 510, which is sufficient for this example; however, you can enter a new value, as applicable.
  3. You need not specify a value in the Background elevation value box, as the digital elevation model (DEM) of the source file irvine.pix does not include any NoData pixels.
  4. You need not select a new value in the Elevation units list, as the elevation units of the input DEM for this example is Meters.

If the unit of the DEM being processed is feet, then select Feet or US_feet, as applicable.

  5. You need not enter a value in the Elevation scale and Elevation offset boxes, as the default values for each are sufficient for this example.

Otherwise, if you want to specify a new elevation scale and offset, enter an appropriate value for each.
