Project Overview toolbars

The available toolbars in the Project Overview window are as follows:

Zoom toolbar

The Zoom toolbar features tools you use to adjust the magnification level and move around in the image.

Button Name Description
Zoom to Overview button Zoom to Overview Adjust the magnification so that the entire image appears in the viewer.
Zoom Interactive button Zoom Interactive Drag a rectangle over the area you want to magnify.
Zoom In button Zoom In Increase the magnification incrementally, centered on the cursor.
You can also:
  • Rotate the wheel button forward.

    To increment the zoom by a factor of two, hold down the Ctrl key, and then rotate the wheel button forward.

  • Click a location or feature in the image, and then press Page Up.
Zoom Out button Zoom Out Decrease the magnification incrementally, centered on the cursor.
You can also:
  • Rotate the wheel button backward.

    To increment the zoom by a factor of two, hold down the Ctrl key, and then rotate the wheel button backward.

  • Click a location or feature in the image, and then press Page Down.
Zoom 1:1 button Zoom 1:1 Adjust the magnification so that one screen pixel displays one image pixel, centered on the cursor.
Pan button Pan Drag the image to view a specific area.
You can also:
  • Pan horizontally to the left and right by, while holding down the Shift key, rotating the wheel button forward and backward, respectively.
  • Pan vertically up and down by, while holding down the Alt key, rotating the wheel button forward and backward, respectively.
Auto Center button Auto Center Automatically center the selected image.

Selection toolbar

The Selection toolbar features tools you use to select images in the viewer.

Button Name Description
Selection Tools button Selection Tools Select one or more images in the viewer.

You can select images individually, in a circular selection area, or in an area you define.

Click the arrow beside Selection Tools, and then click one of the following:
  • Individual: Click an image to select it. To select a group of images, drag a selection area around the ones you want. To select a range of images; that is, non-neighboring ones, click the first image, hold down the Shift key or the Ctrl key, and then click each additional image you want.
  • Circular: Click to drag a selection circle around the images you want. Any images touching the selection area are included .
  • Area: Click point-to-point to draw a selection area, and then double-click to close the selection area. Any images touching the selection area are included.
Zoom to Selection button Zoom to Selection Increase the magnification to show only the selected images.
Note: To use the feature, you must have one or more images selected.
Lock Selection button Lock Selection Lock or unlock the current image selection.

Select Overlapping Images button Select Overlapping Images Select all images that intersect spatially.

The footprints of all images that intersect the current selection appear shaded in cyan. The images are also selected in the Raw Image Summary Table window.

Miscellaneous toolbar

The Miscellaneous toolbar features tools you use when working with raw images, viewing errors and points, rotating kappa, and measuring items.

Button Name Description
Display the Raw Image Summary Table Display the Raw Image Summary Table Open the Raw Image Summary Table window, in which you manage point collection on images, such as ground control points (GCP), tie points (TP), or both.

Error Display Error Display Show or hide a visual representation of residual errors for points.
You can select from the following:
  • Ground Control Points
  • Check Points
  • Tie Points

Point Visibility Point Visibility Change the visibility of points.

Rotate Kappa Rotate Kappa Rotate the kappa of one or more images.

Measurement Tools Measurement Tools Determine length, area, and perimeter measurements of areas in the view pane.

You can select from various units of measure.
