Object attributes, calculation, and band aliases

With object-based image analysis (OBIA), an attribute represents some information about an image object. In Object Analyst, the same concept is used. Various characteristics of image objects are referred to as attributes of a segment.

When working with SAR imagery in Object Analyst you can, depending on the matrix type of the image, calculate SAR-specific attributes. That is, in addition to statistical, geometrical, Vegetation Indices, and texture attributes, you can also calculate polarimetric attributes.

Aliases help you manage and interpret the information when analyzing attribute data.
