You can create a new vector layer by clicking New Layer. The window is divided into two areas. In the top area you enter the name and description of the new layer. Under Georeferencing Info, you enter the initial bounds and georeferencing information.
The bounds you specify are those that CATALYST Professional will use to display them. Data is not restricted to these bounds, and may exceed them. To refresh the display to use the new bounds, use the control window to switch the layer between on and off. The bounds are recalculated each time you switch the display.
