In the Target Selection window, you can customize the information that displays on the status bar and select a unit for the cursor location.

To select a status-bar option, do the following:

On the status bar, click the left-most arrow.
A menu appears, showing a check mark beside each selected option.

Click one of the following:
- Messages: Display text messages, such as screen tips, explanations, and instructions.
- Progress: Display a progress indicator that shows how much of a process is completed.
- Zoom Scale: Display the scale at the zoom level used in the viewer.
- Zoom Image Pixel: Display the magnification factor used in the viewer.
- Cursor Position: Display the coordinate of the cursor in the viewer.
- Selection Value: Display the pixel value at the cursor.

On the status bar, click the left-most arrow.

To select a unit for the cursor position, do the following:

On the status bar, click the right-most arrow.
A menu appears, showing a check mark beside each selected option.

Click one of the following:
- Paper: Display the coordinates in metric units.
- Raster: Display the coordinates in image pixels and lines measured from the upper-left corner of the image.
- Geocoded: Display the coordinates in easting and northing values.
- Geographic: Display the coordinates in longitude and latitude values.
- MGRS: Display the coordinates using the Military Grid Reference System.
- Screen: Display the coordinates in screen pixels measured from the upper-left corner of the viewer.

On the status bar, click the right-most arrow.

To deselect a selected option, do the following:

On the status bar, click an arrow.
A menu appears, showing a check mark beside each selected option.
- Click a selected option to remove the check mark.
