Viewing or placing the cursor coordinates

In the Cursor Control window, you can view and adjust the location of the cursor in the view pane.

Note: You must have a file open to use Cursor Control.

To view or place the cursor coordinates

  1. In the view pane, click a location.

    The Cursor Control window is updated with the pixel-and-line coordinates of the location you clicked.

  2. Do any of the following, as applicable:
    • To move the cursor to a specific location, in the Cursor Control window, under Raster, type the location you want in the Pixel and Line boxes, respectively.

      The cursor is moved to the location you entered.

    • Under Geocoded or User Defined Projection, type new coordinates in the available boxes according to the selected projection.

      The cursor is moved to the location you entered.

      Tip: You can also view the cursor location in different projections by selecting another Earth model.
