Vector editing

On the Vector editing page, you can set up options for creating and editing vectors.

Snap tolerance: Defines the distance within which a vertex will snap to an existing line or polygon during vector editing. When snapping is active, and the line or polygon being snapped to is within the specified snap tolerance of the current cursor position, the vertex will snap automatically. You can specify the snap tolerance in either screen pixels, meters, or feet. By default, the snap tolerance is measured in screen pixels.

Snap automatically: Controls whether automatic snapping is on or off when drawing vertices within the specified snap tolerance. With this check box selected, the cursor snaps automatically to the shape when you click to create a vertex within the specified snap tolerance of the shape.

Search tolerance: Defines the distance within which a vector feature can be selected during a vector search. You can specify the search tolerance in either screen pixels, meters, or feet. By default, the search tolerance is measured in screen pixels.
