Setting up the sort order

You can define the order in which to add the images added to the mosaic. You can select from either of the following methods:
  • Nearest to center
  • Maximum Intersection

Nearest to center uses the image you select in the Starting image list as the first image to process. Alternatively, you can select Auto , in which case the image most central of the input scenes is processed first. Subsequent images are processed in turn, based on which has its center closest to the center of the first image. All calculations (determining the center point) are based on the rectangular bounding box of each image.

Maximum Intersection uses the image you select in the Starting image list as the first image to process. Alternatively, you can select Auto , in which case the image most central of all the input scenes is processed first. Subsequent images are processed in turn, based on which image most intersects (overlaps or covers) the images already processed. All calculations, such as determining overlap amounts, are based on the rectangular bounding box of each image.

To set up the sort order

  1. Select the Sort images check box.
  2. In the Method list, select from the following the method to use to sort the images:
    • Nearest to center
    • Maximum Intersection
  3. In the Starting image list, select the image you want to process first or, to automatically select the starting image, select Auto.
  4. To continue setting up mosaic preparation, proceed to Setting up normalization; otherwise, click Run.
