Setting up the output file and format

The name you enter for Output file will be the file name of the mosaic according to the format you select. For example, <file_name>.pix or <file_name>.tif, as applicable.

The file name you enter may also be used as a base name for other files created during the mosaicking process.

To set up the output file and format

  1. In the Output file box, type the file name you want or, to select a file, click Browse, and then select the file you want.

    You can either enter the full path to another folder or, click Browse, and then in the File Selector window, select the folder you want.

  2. In the Format list, select from the following according to the format of the output file you want:
    • PCIDSK (.pix).

      For more information about the format, see PCIDSK (.pix).

    • TIFF 6.0 (.tif).

      For more information about the format, see TIFF 6.0 (.tif).

    After you select a format, you can select additional options for it, such as changing the layout, compression, and more. To select options for the format, to the right of the Format list, click Options.

    Note: The available options vary according to each format.
  3. Based on your selection in the Mosaic Output list, do one of the following, as applicable:
