Tracing a line on an active layer

If necessary, you can trace a line on an active layer.

To trace a line on an active layer

  1. On the Editing toolbar, click the arrow beside New Shapes, and then click Trace.
  2. In the view pane, click where you want to start tracing.
  3. Trace over the line.
  4. Double-click to complete the trace.
