Using the Loop tool

The Loop tool extends the capabilities of automatic data comparison to include two or more map layers.

You can set up the effect to cycle forward or backward through the loop starting with the top-most layer and ending with the lower-most layer on the Maps tab. Effectively, with each step in the loop, the next layer will be rendered as if it is the top-most.

Sequence
To cycle forward through the layers, click Forward. To cycle back through the layers, click Backward.

Speed
To set the rate of the image frames, in the available box, type or select the number of frames per second you want to use.

Actual speed
Displays the actual rate of the frame change.

Control
The following table describes the buttons that control the loop.

Button Command name Description
Play button Play Start the loop
Stop button Stop Stop the loop
Next button Next Go to the next frame in the loop

Continuous loop
To cycle continuously through each layer in the loop, select the Continuous loop check box. If you only want to cycle through the loop once, leave the check box clear.

Current top layer
Displays the name of the layer that is rendered last and therefore on top of all others in the viewer.
