Searching the Help

A handy feature you may use frequently is searching the Help by keyword. For example, by searching on the keyword "merge", you can find all topics in which the term occurs.

To search the Help

  1. On the Search tab, type one or more keywords you want to search on in the box below Type in the word(s) to search for.
  2. Click List Topics.

    If one or more topics contain the information you entered, each appears under Select topic; otherwise, if your keywords do not occur in any topics, a message appears, informing you that there were no topics found.

  3. If your search produced a list of topics under Select topic, select the one you want, and then click Display.

    When search highlighting is on, each keyword found in the topic appears highlighted.
