Locating a topic

Sometimes, when viewing a Help topic either from a search result or as a result of clicking the Help button in an interface (context-sensitive Help), you may wonder "where is this topic?" in relation to the hierarchy. On the toolbar, Locate is a handy feature you can use to show you where the topic is on the Contents tab. By locating the topic, you can see other relevant topics in proximity that may be of interest.

Tip: You can use this feature even if the navigation pane is hidden.

To locate a topic

Do either of the following:

In an active Help topic, on the toolbar, click Locate.
In a search result on the Search tab, under Select topic, select a topic of interest, and then click Locate.

The topic appears selected on the Contents tab of the navigation pane.
