You can perform coherent or incoherent target decompositions to discover information about a scatterer.
Tip: Before you extract numerical output, consider setting up global preferences.
In the
SAR Polarimetry Target Analysis window, under
Numerical Output, you can select check boxes and list items and enter values to define the type of information you want to compute, as follows:
- Matrix representations: Target pixel values in various matrix representations, such as scattering matrix.
- Parameters and discriminators: Operations that do not require parameter values, such as total power.
- Channel comparisons: Operations that require you to specify a polarization-element pair-parameter value, such as intensity ratio.
- Coherent target decomposition: Operations that require you to provide a point target, such as the ones provided in Pixel plus clutter estimation region mode.
- Symmetric scattering parameters: Also requires a point target. With symmetric scattering characterization, you must specify a signal-to-clutter ratio, a degree of symmetry, and a degree of coherence to determine the symmetric scattering parameters.
