General

On the General page, you can select whether to create automatic backups of your project, the amount of random access memory (RAM) to dedicate as a working cache, and the format of to use for displaying geographic coordinates.

Automatic backup every

By default, OrthoEngine is set up to save a backup copy of your project every 10 minutes. You can change the frequency of the backup, if necessary, by typing or selecting a new value in the box beside Automatic backup every. The value represents minutes, and the number you enter must be a positive integer between 1 and 120.

Backup file

Displays the name of the backup file of the active project.

Memory

In the Memory box, type a number to designate, in gigabytes, how much RAM to use as a working cache.

Geographic Coordinate Display

Under Geographic Coordinate Display, in the Format list, you can select how you want to display geographic coordinates.

You can select from the following:
  • Decimal degrees
  • Degrees, minutes
  • Degrees, minutes, seconds
