Working with named regions

You can create a custom view of your map or image by creating a named region. By doing so, the viewer can move to it in the view pane. For example, by creating several named regions in an image—one for each area of interest—you can cycle through the regions in the viewer.

A new named region is defined by the coordinates of the upper-left and lower-right corners. You can define the boundaries of a new region by using either the zoom tools on the Focus toolbar or by using the advanced features in the Named Regions window. You can save the named region when you save the current project. If you add, remove, or change the name of a map or area on the Maps tab, the corresponding information in the Named Regions window is updated automatically.
