Clipping and subsetting data are effective methods of working with large data sets. In research and testing situations, you may want to create subsets of a large data base. By working with small representative areas, you can reduce processing times or you can use file subsets to test an image process. When you obtain a promising result on a subset, you can repeat the process on a larger, more complex scene.
