When you have data open in Focus, the Module Control Panel (MCP) automatically displays the relevant data for each port. You can also open an algorithm you want to run, and then open the data on which you want to run it from the MCP window.
The MCP displays the name of the active algorithm in the title bar. It also appears in an untitled group area immediately below the title bar, along with a description of the purpose or function of the algorithm.
While the number can vary, an algorithm can display up to five tabs in the MCP:
Just as the number of tabs can vary, so too can the information displayed on each tab.
The Files tab displays typically two group boxes, Input Ports and Output Ports. Each group box has various controls you use to define the processing of the input and output.
In the Input Ports group box, you select the data you want to process with the algorithm. You can use data already open or, to select other data as input, click Browse.
In the Output Ports group box, you define where you want the output to be written: to Focus Viewer, a PCIDSK file, or both. You can save the output in the default folder, or you can click Browse to save the output in another folder.
On the Input Params 1 tab, when displayed, you set the parameters for the algorithm input data. Not all algorithms display an Input Params 1 tab.
Should there be additional parameters, a second tab, Input Params 2 will display.
The Output Params tab, when displayed, shows parameters that are updated with the result of the run.
The Log tab displays messages about the status of the run, including a date-and-time stamp, whether the run was completed successfully, or if any errors occurred. When you run your algorithm, a progress monitor displays, showing the progress of the run. On completion of the run, the Log tab becomes the active tab, and displays information about the run.
