In the TIFF File Creation window, you enter the file name, size, and configuration of the file you want to create. A TIFF can be in any of the following configurations:
- RGB file (three channels, TIFF R)
- Single 8-bit channel with an optional pseudocolor table (TIFF G or P)
- Single bitmap (TIFF B)
With a TIFF, you can specify georeferencing information by using the Georeferencing Editor (GeoEdit).
The georeferencing is written to an additional file (with a .pox file name extension).
Note: You cannot select compression options for a TIFF at this time; however, you can do so in the Translate (Export) window or by running the FEXPORT algorithm.
