In the PCIDSK File Creation window you enter the file name, description, size, channel-data type, and georeferencing information for the new file.
Under Name and Identification, type the name of the file in the File Name box. You can also, optionally, enter information in the Facility and Description boxes. The information is stored in the file header.
Under Number of Channels, beside Channels, enter the number of channels. In the Format Options list, select how you want to organize the raster data in the PCIDSK file. For more information about the available format options for a PCIDSK file, see PCIDSK (PIX).
Under Geo-Referencing Information, select how you want to define the size of the file, enter the size in pixels and lines, and then enter the pixel size. When you select Use pixels/lines and bounds, the pixel size will vary such that the file is created with the pixels, lines, and, as applicable, the bounds you specify. Similarly, when you select Use pixel/lines and resolution, the bounds will vary. When Use bounds and resolution is selected, the pixel and lines will vary.
You can also modify the georeferencing system and bounds of a file with Georeferencing Editor (GeoEdit).
