If you know the color values of the basic color you want, you can also type them in the boxes available for the selected Model. For example, with RGB selected, you can type the values in the R, G, and B boxes, as applicable.

Notice that when you point to the palette, the pointer changes to a crosshair. Click anywhere in the palette to select the location of the continuum you want.
You can also click anywhere in the palette to select an intensity level.
If you know the color values of the custom color you want, you can also type them in the boxes available for the selected Model. For example, with RGB selected, you can type the values in the R, G, and B boxes, as applicable.

Notice that the values in the boxes below Model change according to the color you select.
For example, with RGB as the selected color model, the values change to match the selected color. The color you selected also is displayed in the New box, which you can compare with the Old box to determine if your new color is suitable.
Notice that the color values you can edit at the pixel level vary according to the selected model.
