Mosaicking is to join several overlapping images to form a single, uniform image. It is similar to creating a jigsaw puzzle with your images, and then making the seams disappear. For the mosaic to look like a single image instead of a collage of images, it is important that the images fit well together.
You can achieve better results if you orthorectify your images before creating the mosaic. Using a rigorous math model ensures the best fit, not only for the individual images, but for all the images united as a whole. To achieve a seamless look in the mosaic, select images or portions thereof that are not radically different in color. Place seams, or cutlines, where they are least noticeable.
