FILI
Specifies the name of the supported imagery file for which a PCIDSK link is created.
LINK supports all GDB file formats that contain imagery. For a complete list of supported formats, see the Technical Reference section of the CATALYST Professional Online Help.
It is recommended that you use full path names from the root for the target file, because this is the file name that in the PCIDSK file that allows programs to find the original imagery file.
FILO
Specifies the name of the new PCIDSK file to receive the PCIDSK file header. This file is automatically created.
DBIW
Specifies the raster window (Xoffset, Yoffset, Xsize, Ysize) to be linked from the input channels. If this parameter is not specified, the entire image is used by default.
Xoffset, Yoffset define the upper-left starting pixel coordinates of the window. Xsize is the number of pixels that define the window width. Ysize is the number of lines that define the window height.

LINK is used to create a live link to a non-PCIDSK imagery file of a supported format.
LINK supports any image structure (pixel, band or file interleaving, tiled, and compressed imagery). If the source image file format allows updating, imagery in the 'linked' file can be modified, and new image channels or segments may be created in the linked file. For a complete list of supported image formats, see the Technical Reference section of the CATALYST Professional Online Help.
When LINK is run, the GDB library analyzes the input file (FILI), detects the file type, and creates a PCIDSK file linked to the specified window (DBIW) of the input imagery file.
The PCIDSK file created by LINK is file-interleaved, similar to the PCIDSK files created by CIM with DBLAYOUT="FILE". This means that the actual imagery is stored in a separate file (FILI). No additional copies of the imagery are created. The file-interleaved PCIDSK file created by LINK contains a description of the data that is stored in the non-PCIDSK file, similar to that which is specified when running PCIADD2.
In addition to linking the new PCIDSK file to the imagery in the source file, LINK also copies any auxiliary information, such as LUTs, pseudocolor tables (PCTs), bitmaps, or vectors. The georeferencing of the output file is set based on the subarea of the selected input file (DBIW).
LINK generates detail lines that indicate the imagery size, number of channels, and any auxiliary information that is copied.
