MAPUNITS

The MAPUNITS descriptor defines the map unit of a data file. Only simple map units such as "METRE", "UTM", "LONG", etc., are supported. If no MAPUNITS descriptor is specified, the map unit of the data file is defaulted to "METRE".

The MAPUNITS descriptor uses the following syntax:

  MAPUNITS = "map_units"

where, map_units is the text defining the map units. The map units text must always be enclosed in double quotes.

Example:

  MAPUNITS = "UTM 20 E000"
