Adding and refining tie points

When a collected tie point (TP) appears to be positioned improperly when viewed in OrthoEngine, you can edit the TP by repositioning the cursor to the proper pixel/line coordinates that correspond to the TP in the overlapping images. You can also add new TPs to the project file.

When you modify or add new TPs, the new information must be recorded in the image for other processes to function properly. You must also generate a new math-model segment.

To generate a new math-model segment

Open the OrthoEngine project file that contains the new or modified TPs.
In OrthoEngine click the Tools menu, point to Export, and then click Model.
In the Export Model window, under File for model export, select the image or images with the new or modified TPs.
Under Segment Information, click Create new segment, and then click Export.
The new math-model segment is exported to the PCIDSK file.
