Reference-data sources

The use of reference data varies among the CATALYST Enterprise system workflows. In most cases, reference data is used simply as a source for collection of ground control points (GCP). Reference-data sources can include components, such as reference images (previously geocoded), chip databases, and reference vectors, among others.

The following is the recommended scheme for reference-data storage, where Z represents a mapped drive pointing to the central repository.

Regardless of whether you use the preceding scheme for reference-data storage, ensure optimal performance by always running the Index PIX File Creator module on the folder that contains your reference images.
