Generating a DEM

The DEM Generation module reads multiple vector files containing points, break lines, contours, valleys, ridges, and cliffs. A raster digital elevation model (DEM) is generated by interpolating elevation values of points, contours, and 3-D structure lines. The module then generates an index PCIDSK (index.pix) file and text file (index.txt). These files list the DEM tiles in the source folder and provide information about each. The index files are also used by other CATALYST Enterprise modules.
