Saving a target

When you save one or more targets in a session, the targets are saved to a single vector layer in a PCIDSK (.pix) file. When the target type is Pixel plus clutter estimation region or Square neighborhood, targets are saved as points, where only the center point coordinates are stored. The size and gap are stored as attributes to reconstruct the target from the center point when it is loaded. When the target type is Arbitrary region, the vertex coordinates are saved, and the target is stored as a whole polygon.

To save a target

  1. In the Target Manager window, click the target record you want to save.

To select more than one target record, while holding down the Shift key, click each applicable record.

  2. Click Export.

The Save Targets As window appears.

  3. Open the folder in which you want to save the file.
  4. In the File name box, type a name for the file.
  5. Click Save.
Targets are saved as a vector layer in a PCIDSK file, and each shape represents a target.
Note: You cannot append targets to an existing file.
